8 Reasons Camp America Will Be the Best Decision of Your Life

Ten years, feeling a little frustrated and having a very big itch to scratch, I applied to Camp America to spend a summer working in the USA. The was the start of a huge lover affair with the USA, a passion for travel and one of the best experiences of my life. It changed me, and I still look back almost ten years later and feel all of the happy emotions that summer camp brings.

❤  The Best Memories - One of the best things I took away from summer camp were memories. Memories that I still think about regularly and look back on fondly. Memories that I will carry with me forever. Memories that give me a little chill when I think about them because they remind me about one of the best times of my life.

❤  New Experiences - Each day at summer camp is completely different from the next. Each day brings new adventures and experiences that you would not get anywhere else. Where else could you be swimming in the lake one day, throwing cream pies at each other the next and screaming songs at the top of your voice while standing on a table at dinner time?

❤  Friendship - There's something special about the friendship at summer camp; it's like no other. The bonds of friendship go way beyond friendship norms, they go down to the green flame.

Your Own Club - Summer camp is a thing that only people who have been to summer camp can ever understand. No matter how you describe it, nobody else will ever get what it feels like when you win rope burn, when Jamboree breaks or saying goodbye at the end of camp.

❤  Travel - Summer camp gives your the perfect opportunity to travel, especially for us Brits that travel over. Not only was summer camp bloody amazing, I was then able to travel around some of my dreamed about states, it was definitely one of the best summers of my life! Also, Camp America offers discounts on Camp America Treks so you can make even more memories as you travel!

❤  Growing Confidence - I went to summer camp when I was feeling a little bit shitty about myself. It sounds cheesy as hell but I feel like I found myself there. You've got no choice to be all out there at summer camp, being thrown into new experiences every day. But in doing it I grew and grew in confidence, basically leaving camp a completely different person.

Bigger Heart - Summer camp does something to you. It takes over your insides and encompasses you. It fills your heart with love and passion and it sticks around. Every time I think about summer camp I feel a little warmer and a little happier inside.

The Summer Camp Bubble - It's nice to just get away from life sometimes isn't it? That's exactly what summer camp does! It's this little bubble that keeps all the real life problems out and all of the fun inside. Literally nothing matters at summer camp apart from having the time of your life.

So, I hope after reading this you've already clicked onto Camp America and are signing up right this second. Not only was the experience amazing in every way, but Camp America take care of all the hard stuff so it really is just fun for you. 2. I have never been to a summer camp before but I like how you took initiative and made the decision to do something that would make you happy. In all the movies they always remonstrate the strength of friendship in these camp settings so its nice to see that from your experience that much is true.

  7. Ahhhh I miss the good old days of summer camps! I only went to one, when I was a girl scout. I remember loving all of the outdoor activities, but hating the food at the time. And you're right, it is definitely a bubble! It was certainly nice to get away from life at the time :)
