Pumpkin Chilli

Happy Halloween! 

As it is Halloween, it called for a pumpkin recipe for dinner, so I made this yummy pumpkin chilli which we ate while sat under a duvet having the longest Harry Potter marathon and it was basically the most perfect evening.

What You Need

  • 500g ground minced beef
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can of pumpkin puree
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can cannelini beans
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chili powder


  • Fry the onion and mince until browned. 
  • Add peppers and fry for a further 2 minutes.
  • Add spices and mix into the vegetables.
  • Add pumpkin puree, undrained beans and tomato and mix. 
  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes. 
  • Serve, dressing with a little sour cream, cheese or cilantro.
Serve with rice or potato wedges.
