April Goals: Getting Back on Track

The start of a new year is usually when I feel most motivated and excited for a fresh start, but 2019 didn’t quite start off like that for me. I’m not sure why, but the first quarter of the year has been a rough ride for me. I just couldn’t get on track with…well pretty much anything! You know that feeling when you know you’re spiralling, but you just can’t seem to stop yourself? That’s kind of the state I’ve been living in since January!

But I’m done! This past weekend marked the day I drew a line and decided it was time to get back on track with life and start working on my goals.

So even though we’re now 2 weeks into April, I’m setting myself some goals for the rest of this month.


  • Get my roots dyed (because nobody’s roots should look this bad!)
  • Get a manicure
  • Clear credit card (We booked lots of flights this month)
  • Write my end of year reports (how is it almost end of year already?)
  • Plan a great summer at home


  • At least 1 blog post per week
  • Prep meals for the week ahead
  • Go for a walk
  • Read x 3
  • Get back on top of my organisation game at work (Prep complete by Friday)


  • Sleep 8 hours
  • Daily beauty routine (shave, charcoal face scrub, conditioner, moisturise,  teeth x2)
  • Drink 4 litres of water
  • Eat well (eggs in AM, quiche & salad for lunch, healthy dinner + Sat treats)
  • 10 minute tidy
I have some exciting summer plans coming up (more on that later), so for the next few months until summer I am focusing on working hard on my goals so I can have the best summer.
